AKAMAS

The Akamas region is southern Cyprus’s last and least developed frontier – Akamas is a region of spectacular, rugged scenery, sandy coves where turtles nest and dolphins occasionally frolic. The Akamas Peninsular has wonderful crystal clear water, quaint sea side villages and hillsides covered with thick woodland where the last flocks of wild moufflon (a small, wild European sheep) roam.

If empty beaches are what you seek, then Akamas has them, and more. Within the Akamas area are ancient Stone Age dwellings, remnants of Byzantine and Classical settlements and starkly beautiful sea cliffs on the westernmost extremity of the Island of Cyprus.

PEYIA

Situated in the foothills of Pafos, Peyia is a short drive from the nicest beach in the area at Coral Bay. Peyia is a very typical Cypriot village. An ancient church overlooks the centreof Peyia, while the narrow streets and alleyways are full of old and interesting houses. Peyia is still largely unspoilt with lively tavernas where you can eat at a fraction of the cost you would find in the main tourist areas. You can also buy all your provisions including fresh meat and bread in the Peyia village stores.
Peyia is well situated for exploring the western side of Cyprus. It offers easy access to the Akamas peninsula, with its spectacular landscapes, deserted sandy beaches and conservation projects
To the north of Peyia, many roads meander through the hills and then down to Polis and Latchi. These take you through acres of vineyards in steep valleys with some outstanding views to the Troodos Mountains and on to the coast and Aphrodite's Baths.
The driving time to Peyia is approximately 40-50 minutes from Pafos airport
PISSOURI
Pissouri Bay is situated about 3kms away from Pissouri village. The beach has an EU blue flag, and there are a number of restaurants, bars and mini-markets in the immediate vicinity.

It is a traditional, quaint Cretian village comprising a cluster of tranquil stone buildings. There are many small, personal tavernas, in Pissouri Village, a few shops, and a church. The local people are extremely friendly and helpful. At night, in Pissouri there is a relaxed and calm atmosphere, away from crowds and nightclubs.
